Sportsbetting Revenues Drop in Illinois

Sportsbetting numbers in Illinois took a bit of a dip in December, as books brought in $23.9 million, despite handling a record handle of $491.7 million the month before.

Retail sportsbetting revenues were just $97,915, as most casinos remained closed for the month. Handle for retail was just $182,701. Online revenues were $23.8 million, down 40% from the month prior. Online handle was $487.3 million, up 12.4% from last year.

FanDuel revenues were $7.1 million, and DraftKings had revenues of $7 million, while Rush Street Interactive was $6.8 million.

Illinois is now facing increased competition in the Midwest, as Michigan launched operations in January, and saw revenues of $43 million in the first ten days of operation.
