Korean casino operator Grand Korea Leisure has announced that they're keeping their three casinos closed through February 15th due to Covid-19 restrictions.
The restrictions were actually put into place by the government in an effort to keep the latest outbreaks in the country at bay. The restrictions apply to GKL's locations in Seoul and Busan, and also apply to other leisure destinations throughout the country.
The pandemic has been hard on GKL's bottom line, as the company announced that they're expecting to post a loss of KRW32.6 billion during the closure period based on what the group's net sales from July to September.
Casinos around the world have suffered from extended closures due to Covid, with mega-resort companies posting billions of dollars in losses due to a lack of traffic.
