Gaming event company Clarion has announced that they're canceling its ICE London and iGB Affiliate conferences this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The events were originally postponed from February until the end of June, but it appears that global travel will not be ready to happen by that point, and the company made the decision to punt until 2022. The company claims to have consulted with exhibitors and affiliates and reached the decision to instead run the shows between February 1st through the 5th, 2021. The events will continue to be held at the ExCeL London and will bring together gambling industry workers from around the globe.
The group did say that they are still planning on holding the iGB Live event in September, which will be located at the RAI in Amsterdam.
Commenting on the decision Clarion Gaming Managing Director Stuart Hunter said, "Both the ICE London and iGB Affiliate London brands have been successful because they have consistently worked with, and listened to, the needs of their respective customers.
"The soundings we've taken and the ongoing conversations we are having with exhibitors of all sizes across both events have shown continued and significant uncertainty about the year ahead. Exhibitors have expressed a desire to put the experiences of the last 12 months behind them and instead focus their collective energy and creativity into making the 2022 editions into memorable in-person celebrations."

I was expecting this to happen and I surely believe it's the right thing to do. It isn't safe to make such a mass event during these times nor I believe it's that necessary. It's good that it's postponed.
