American land casino group Bally's Corporation has announced that they've submitted a proposal to build a new $650 million casino in Richmond, Virginia.

The resort and casino would have a 1.6 million square-foot footprint and would have a 250 room hotel, 13 restaurants, shopping space, 2,500 slots, 90 table games, and 30 poker tables. A high-stakes betting area would also be included.

The casino will be based on the western side of Richmond and be built on a 61 acre site.

It's expected that the site will take 18 months to be constructed and Bally's is expecting the resort to provide up to 1,700 jobs when it opens in 2024.

We'll follow the development and update readers as the resort progresses.
