Veikkaus Once Again Suspends Gaming in Satakunta

This story was published more than 3 years ago.

Gaming firm Veikkaus has announced that they've once again suspended gaming in the region of Satakunta due to Covid-19 restrictions throughout the area.

The gaming monopoly had just reopened its machines and gaming facilities on January 16th after politicians opened the area to more activities. This was short-lived though, as Covid began accelerating again, with more cases being diagnosed.

Under the new order all gaming halls will be closed effective today, while gaming machines will be closed on January 30th. No timeframe

The move comes a couple of weeks after the Finnish gaming monopoly announced that they were requiring ID verification for play on all gaming machines in an effort to cut problem betting in Finland.
