DraftKings Gets Android Apps for Casino/Sportsbook

This story was published more than 3 years ago.

American betting group DraftKings has announced that they've been able to launch its sportsbook and casino apps on the Android platform after Google changed its policies.

The apps will benefit from extra users, as the mobile products had previously only been available on iOS devices. DraftKings has both a sportsbook and casino app, which are tied together and let customers bet on a slew of games and events. The company launched operations in Michigan last week, and already has casino and book presences in the likes of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, among others.

Google is famously anti-gambling but is opening up advertising and store access to states and countries where betting is regulated.

As of press time the apps weren't available in the United States, but will be in the very near future. Customers in Brazil, France, the UK, and Ireland can already download the software to their phones or tablets.

I personally don't use casino apps however I think it's great that they have managed to get them back up and running.
