American land casino giant Penn National Gaming has launched two Barstool Sportsbooks in Indiana, with the spots launching at the Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg and Ameristar East Chicago Casino & Hotel.

The Hollywood location launched on December 23rd and has 25 betting kiosks and 20 HDTVs, while the Ameristar location has 23 kiosks and a video wall that features major events. Both locations are based on the popular Barstool brand, which operates as a sports website, radio channel, and more throughout North America.

Penn has been pushing the Barstool branded sportsbook throughout the United States, having launched a book at the Greektown Casino-Hotel in Detroit last week.

Sportsbetting is booming in the United States, as multiple states have legalized the activity and are in the process of integrating both online and retail sportsbooks within their states. The industry is expected to generate millions in tax revenues for states and provide a boost to casino groups, many of whom have been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Commenting on the launches Penn National Senior VP of Regional Operations Rafael Verde said, "We are very excited to be opening our newly branded Barstool Sportsbooks. The new designs incorporate the spirit of the Barstool Sports brand, resulting in unique sports wagering and dining experiences that we expect our customers will thoroughly enjoy."
