Norsk Tipping Temporarily Lowers Loss Limits

Norwegian betting group Norsk Tipping has announced that they're temporarily lowering the loss limits for players by 25% through January 2021.

The new restrictions will see players only able to lose up to NOK7,500 each month with their KongKasino, eFlax, Yezz, and Bingoria sites, with daily loss limits of NOK2,000. There will also be a 15 minute break mandated for every hour of play online.

There are also new restrictions related to using banners to indicate if a game is "hot", and the group will stop sending marketing emails and messages to punters aged between 18 and 25.

Commenting on the decision Norsk Tipping CEO Asne Havnelid said, "We know that gambling problems are increasing in the population, and that December is our biggest gambling month.

"The measures against novel coronavirus (Covid-19) mean that more people can experience spending more time alone than they usually do during the Christmas month. For vulnerable players, this can lead to more gambling, and we want to prevent that."
