Microgaming's Mega Moolah Mega Jackpot was struck over the weekend, with a lucky player raking in a massive $6,721,077 cash haul in the process.

The jackpot win comes days after the Mega Fortune Mega Jackpot was hit for €4.8 million, and becomes the 71st win for the jackpot since we started tracking it in December 2009. The average jackpot win for this prize is $6.1 million and the all-time record is €18,915,721, which was hit at Grand Mondial Casino in 2018.

The Mega Moolah Mega Jackpot is a progressive style prize that grows with every spin of the reels, as a portion of the bet is put into the jackpot pool. The prize is awarded completely randomly and can be won with any amount wagered.

I always find it fascinating how these big jackpot wins seem to come close to each other. It seems that once one big jackpot "pops", it's a matter of days before another biggie hits.
