Netherlands gaming brand Holland Casinos has announced that they're closing all properties until January 2021 as the country is clamping down on business closures due to Covid-19.
The move comes after the casinos were forced to close in November, but cases in the Netherlands haven't slowed down, and thus there are more non-essential businesses and shops being forced to close until January 19th, 2021. This clampdown will keep the casinos closed through that date, which is considered to be a festive period as many celebrate Christmas and the New Year.
Holland Casinos oversees 14 brands across the Netherlands, and have seen their brands shuttered multiple times over the year. This has impacted the casinos negatively, with the company posting a net loss of €28.3 million for the first half of the year.
We'll be sure to update readers if the closures are pushed back even further.
