Detroit's Greektown Casino Reopens With Barstool Sportsbook

Detroit's Greektown Casino Hotel reopened on Tuesday with a new Barstool Sportsbook that will provide retail sportsbetting services for those who visit the location.

The casino was forced closed last month when Governor Gretchen Whitmer imposed closures after a new wave of Covid-19 infections began moving through the Wolverine State. The casino's reopening is severely limited though, as the capacity of the casino will be capped at 100 people in any distinct space. The book is located on the second floor and takes advantage of the popular Barstool Sports brand, which publishes videos daily and has a radio channel on SiriusXM Satellite Radio.

Commenting on the launch Greektown Casino General Manager John Drake said, "We are thrilled to be opening our new Barstool Sportsbook. The new design showcases the spirit of the Barstool Sports brand, resulting in an outstanding sports wagering experience that we expect our customers will thoroughly enjoy."

"The passionate sports fans in Detroit and throughout Michigan have been excitedly awaiting the opening of our new Barstool Sportsbook. We look forward to welcoming them when we reopen the casino tomorrow evening."
