This week Wind Creek Hospitality has launched their first sportsbook at the Wind Creek Bethlehem Casino in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, giving customers a new spot to wager on sporting events from around the world.
The book is being launched in conjunction with Betfred USA Sports, which will power the retail location. Those visiting will find three betting windows, eight kiosks, 31 TVs and two video walls for those who want to watch events. The facility is slated for an official grand opening on Saturday, complete with guests and ceremonies. No word on whether online sportsbetting will be offered at some point down the road was available as of press time.
Wind Creek has dumped some serious money into the Bethlehem property, having purchased the site in 2019 and investing $100 million into a new hotel as well as an additional $250 million to build a watermark and entertainment complex. This is outside of the cost of the sportsbook, which presumably had a large price tag as well.
Pennsylvania is a big state in terms of potential sportsbetting revenue, as the population is large and there are many locations within traveling distance from other states.
