This week the Rhode Island Lottery announced their October 2020 sportsbetting results, noting that revenues for land-based and mobile wagers rising during the period.
Sports wagers totaled $34.7 million, up 22.6% from last year and up 10.9% from September's results. Revenues came in at $4.4 million, up 76% from last year and up 83.3% from September.
Mobile revenues came in at $2 million, up 133.6% from September's $856,000 generated.
Rhode Island is a tiny state with a population of just over 1 million, meaning that it'll never be a titan for gambling, but it does appear that the numbers in the state do show that a sustainable market is possible.
