Today Lotto Quebec has announced that they're temporarily suspending gambling activities at their many of their locations, including Casino du Lac-Leamy and Casino Charlevoix locations due to Covid-19 cases rising in the province.

The first spot to close was Casino du Lac-Leamy, which shuttered on Sunday, October 11th, including all restaurants inside. The Hilton Lac-Leamy closed on Monday, and the Casino Charlevoix location will shut on October 16th. Video lottery terminals (VLTs) are also closed in the citiy of Gatineau and Les Collines-de-l'Outaouais Regional County Municipality.

Covid-19 cases have been popping up again in Quebec, and the province is taking steps to protect their residents. No timeframe for potential reopening of the spots was made public, although it's almost certain that opening will be contingent on the slowing of positive cases coming up.
