Italy's internet betting industry saw revenues rise sharply in September, with numbers coming in 25.4% higher than the same period last year.

The country's online betting industry saw revenues total €184 million, with casino revenues up 29.2% to €92.7 million. PokerStars held a 12.2% market share on online casino revenues. Sisal was second at 8.2%, with Lottomatica coming in at 7.9%.

Sportsbetting revenues totaled €152.5 million, up 18.6%. Retail sports revenues were up 13.5% to €76.7 million, while online came in 24.1% higher to €75.8 million. Snaitech held 16% market share, while Goldbet came in at 15.5%, and Sisal next at 12.3%.

Online numbers are likely growing due to the closures related to retail lottery sites and land casinos. With punters stuck at home a bunch, there's a good chance that they'll go online to get their lottery tickets, sports wagers, and casino game action.
