BetMGM Extends Deal With Detroit Red Wings

American betting group BetMGM has announced that they've extended their relationship with National Hockey League team the Detroit Red Wings ahead of the team's home state of Michigan implementing online sportsbetting.

Land-based sportsbetting is already in place in Michigan, and BetMGM has signage at Little Caesars Arena, the venue where the team play. The extension will see BetMGM continuing to get on-ice logos, signage in the arena, signage on the Wings' digital platforms, and the ability to offer promotions to fans of the team.

The Detroit Red Wings were founded in 1926 and have played in Downtown Detroit since that time. The team has 11 Stanley Cup championships in their history, with the most recent coming in 2008.

Commenting on the agreement BetMGM CMO Matt Prevost said, "The Red Wings are an iconic part of Michigan and the city of Detroit and have been a great partner to both BetMGM and MGM Resorts.

"Little Caesars Arena is just steps away from the BetMGM Sports Lounge at [the] MGM Grand Detroit, and as BetMGM continues to build its hockey offerings, we look forward to welcoming Red Wings fans before and after games."
