This week it was announced that the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins signed a deal with Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, with the Rush Street-owned casino becoming the team's Official Casino and Sportsbook Partner moving forward.
Under the terms of the deal Rivers Casino will get the rights to build a sportsbetting lounge at the PPG Paints Arena as well as exclusive marketing opportunities. The two groups have worked together for years, with the casino having previously worked as a partner of the charity, the Lemieux Foundation for the past decade.
This new sportsbetting lounge will have their own rows of seating, television screens to show different events, and a full-service bar that customers can access.
Commenting on the deal Pittsburgh Penguins CEO David Morehouse said, "This is an exciting extension of our longstanding relationship with Rivers. The BetRivers Lounge is one of a number of projects we are undertaking at PPG Paints Arena to provide an enhanced and safe fan experience in a post-Covid environment."
