Today Penn National Gaming announced that they're partnering with GTG Network to provide insights for sport content, which will aid the Barstool Sportsbook that will be going live shortly.

Barstool's app was approved for a test period between September 15th and the 17th, and will now work to have a widespread launch within the Keystone State. Barstool is a sports brand that hosts radio shows, web content, and broadcast shows. Often known for raunchy humor, the group has made a name for itself among younger viewers, many of whom used to flock to networks like ESPN.

Under the terms of the deal, the Barstool Sportsbook will get access to data insights on events, which can help gamblers leverage that information to make informed bets.

Penn Interactive's Jon Kaplowitz commented on the deal, noting: "We seek to build fun, engaging, and unique sports betting and gaming product experiences, and the iSG data product complements that strategy. We are excited to be partnered with GTG Network, and look forward to utilizing their services as we scale the Barstool Sportsbook product across the U.S."

GTG Network's Nathan Rothschild added: "We are excited to announce further growth in the U.S. by partnering with Penn National, the nation's largest regional gaming operator. Like everyone else, we expect the Barstool Sportsbook app to make a significant impact in the U.S. sports betting sector. We have been working closely with the team at Penn National and are excited to be a part of their Barstool Sportsbook product."
