Gambling certification group Gaming Laboratories International has been granted approval to certify online gambling and mobile sports wagering products within the state of Michigan by the Michigan Gaming Control Board.
The company's GLI-19 Interactive Gaming Systems and GLI-33 Event Wagering Systems have been certified, and will allow the company to audit and certify software for use within the Wolverine State's borders. Online betting is springing to life within Michigan, as online sportsbetting and casinos are inching closer to life. No firm date on statewide sportsbetting or online casino gambling has been announced, but both are expected to launch before the end of the year.
Commenting on the achievement GLI Director of Global Technical Compliance Peter Wolff said, "We are honored that the Michigan Gaming Control Board has approved GLI to test and certify iGaming and mobile sports betting. We have been helping regulators and suppliers navigate the future of iGaming and mobile sports betting for decades, and we are excited to put our worldwide experience to work for Michigan."
