This week it was announced that Gamesys Group and Scientific Games have announced that they've combined to launch Monopoly Casino in Spain, bringing a betting site branded with the popular board game to punters within the country.

This effort is a follow up to the Monopoly Casino UK product that has been live for five years, and comes as a result of SG's relationship with toy and game designer Hasbro. The casino will feature a slew of real money slots, table games, and live dealer casino, alongside a free to play game that's called 'Monopoly Daily Free Parking'.

Monopoly Casino is fully licensed in Spain, and the .es domain will require punters to be of legal age and located within the country in order to play.

"We're really excited to be working with Hasbro and Scientific Games once again, bringing the already successful Monopoly Casino to a new audience in Spain," said Gamesys' Raul Ibanez. "Monopoly is one of the most recognisable brands and continues to entertain players all over the world with new versions of casino games inspired by the classic board game. Together with Scientific Games, we're taking the player experience to new heights with a truly localised offering for Spanish players."

Scientific Games SVP of Gaming Dylan Slaney added: "Combining the power of the Monopoly brand with the expertise of Gamesys is a no-brainer for us, and we can't wait to build on the success we've already achieved together in the UK by extending our partnership into the Spanish market. We've evolved the Hasbro brand in recent years by bringing fresh new gaming experiences that really resonate with players. We're sure Monopoly Casino will be a big hit in Spain and look forward to working alongside Gamesys and Hasbro over the coming months."
