South Korean casino Sangwon Land in Jeongseongun has been forced to close their doors for a second time due to a second wave of Covid-19 within the country.

The casino had originally been forced to close on February 23rd due to the pandemic, and only just re-opened on July 1st. The casino had a plan for keeping players safe, but the surge in cases within the country is requiring shuttering of doors for locations where large groups can gather. In addition to casinos, bars and nightclubs are also being closed until at least August 29th.

Kangwon Land suffered from the closure, with their first half results down 63.5% from last year to KRW 270.64 billion.

No comment from the casino was available as of press time.
