This week the New York Lottery and International Game Technology announced that they've signed an extension to their previous relationship and will work together through at least August 2022.
The deal will see IGT continuing to provide lottery services, including a central processing system, retail terminals, and consulting services, call center support, warehousing, and more. An addition to the agreement will see IGT providing 400 self-service vending machines throughout the Empire State.
For IGT, New York serves as an important market, as the state's population is massive, with New York City providing millions of potential customers.
Commenting on the deal IGT COO of Lottery Jay Gendron said, "As the leader in the global gaming industry, IGT delivers excellence by focusing our innovations in content, hardware and platform technology that enable customers such as the New York Lottery to continue its ranking as one of the largest and most successful lotteries in the world. IGT is pleased to extend our long-term partnership with the Lottery and we will do our part to ensure that it continues to set record-breaking sales and maximize its more than $68 billion contribution to education in New York."
