Gaming platform group Gaming Innovation Group has announced that they've signed an agreement with K.A.K. DOO Skopje and will provide different services to the Macedonian company moving forward.

The agreement will see GiG getting access to the Macedonian market, and land casino group LeGrand Casino Skopje and LeGrand Casino Bitola are getting the software, as are hotels Mavrovo Ski Resort, Hotel Epinal, and Hotels Sport. GiG will be providing front end services as well as media services.

Macedonia has been a restricted market for betting, but land casinos are getting the ability to apply for online licenses, which will allow them to offer cyber services to punters. It's expected that the first set of services will be available for the casinos beginning in the first quarter of next year.

Commenting on the deal GiG CEO Richard Brown said, "North Macedonia has a long history in the land-based casino segment and is a major casino tourist destination in the region. Partnering with a leading brand, hospitality and entertainment group in the region is an exciting opportunity for GiG and we look forward to helping replicate LeGrand Casinos retail success online as the market regulates".

K.A.K. DOO Skopje CEO Ognjan Cigovski added: "Gaming Innovation Group is known in the igaming industry as a reliable and trustworthy company with a history of success working with land-based operators like ourselves. We are pleased to have them supporting our digital transformation and online player acquisition strategy as we expand into the newly regulating online market. We believe that by joining our efforts we can translate the feel and look of our LeGrand Casinos into an online offering that both caters for our current players as well as attracts new ones. We are looking forward to a long-lasting and mutually beneficial partnership."
