Switzerland's casino industry is opening their land casinos on June 6th after shutting down for two months to help stop the spread of Covid-19.
The casinos in the country all shut down on March 17th but will be given the go-ahead to open their doors as part of a wider re-opening. Other things that can open up in the country include zoos, swimming pools, wellness facilities, and amusement parks. The government is also allowing for groups of 300 or so to assemble. Sports will also be returning next week.
Social distancing and other protective measures will be implemented in the country's land casinos.
Other countries around the globe are re-opening their betting industries, as Bulgaria opened on May 30th, Austria on May 29th, and the Netherlands will re-open on July 1st. In the United States, Las Vegas casinos are re-opening this week, as are casinos in Michigan and a handful of other states.
