NetEnt is taking punters back to the 90's with their newest slot release, 'Street Fighter II: The World Warrior Slot', letting players take in an arcade classic while trying to take home a champion's purse prize.
The game is a 5 reel, 5 row slot that brings the classic graphics of the 1991 arcade game. Players pick their fighter based on whether they want to win more frequently or take in larger wins, adjusting the volatility of the game. Players then spin the reels and see their fighter taking on other warriors, punching the reel symbols to build up wild meters. Features include the Car Smash bonus game, free spins, wilds, multipliers, and more.
There are four bosses in this game, including the devious M. Bison, and if you beat them all, you become the World Warrior Champion and are awarded with a prize.
Commenting on the release NetEnt's Bryan Upton said, "In developing Street Fighter II: The World Warrior Slot we felt a huge responsibility to ensure our slot game lived up to the iconic '90s original - a videogame that has continued to entertain fans for almost 30 years.
"Authenticity was the critical factor to the design of this game, from the arcade-inspired art and sounds to the game mechanics, as well as the Beat the Bosses and Car Smash bonus rounds. We designed the game to fuel players' nostalgic competitiveness throughout the gameplay. We are immensely proud of the end product and we hope players all over the world appreciate it."
