This past weekend 888 co-founder Shay Ben-Yitzhak died in a plane crash in Israel, while his 11-year old son survived the crash with serious injuries.
Shay Ben-Yitzhak, 52, had helped form the online betting group Casino-on-Net, which provided casino, poker, and sportsbetting services. It eventually grew to become a publicly-traded company, making the entrepreneur wealthy. He was flying this past weekend with his son when the aircraft reportedly had a malfunction, diving straight into the ground.
When emergency personnel arrived at the scene, the elder Ben-Yitzhak was already deceased, and his son was injured. Mechanical tools were needed to pull the two from the vehicle. The accident is currently being investigated, with no conclusion related as to why the crash happened.
The thoughts of the Casino Listings staff goes out to Ben-Yitzhak's family and friends during this difficult time.

What a sad thing for his family to have to experience. Hopefully the son ends up being okay in the end.
Oh, I registered in 888 Casino a few weeks ago, because it is old and famous.
Rest in peace.
Casino on Net was one of the first casinos I ever played many years ago now.
It is sad news to read, likewise I hope the little boy recovers.

Have to agree with the comments above. This is certainly a very unfortunate event and as Ed said, hopefully the boy recovers and good thoughts the family way.
Don't wanna be cynical saying this but rarely you could hear about survivors after a plain crash..(depend on the circumstances of course) but obviously this kid has been quite lucky...hopefully in future too.
