Switzerland Awards Online Licenses to Two Casinos

This story was published more than 1 year ago.

This week the government of Switzerland has given approval to Casino Lugano and Casino du Lac to begin offering online betting services within the country.

The approval was granted by the Bundesrat (Switzerland National Council) but will have the be certified through the Eidgenössische Spielbankenkommission (ESBK) before the groups can begin offering services. Switzerland has licensed a few groups to legally offer online betting services within their borders, and many of these groups sub-license to their partners.

There's no word on who the casinos are partnering with or when the sites are going to go live.

I'm sure those are some great news for these casinos, especially since it's not really easy to get the Swiss licenses.

Surely the online part of the business becomes more and more important nowadays even before the virus situation but what about now...that's all you could depend on if you're a casino...so definitely obtaining a license should be a more than a great news for those two brands.
