The UK Gambling Commission has announced the suspension of the gaming license of Stakers Limited pending a full investigation of the company's business practices.
The company is citing Section 116(2)(a) of the Gambling Act 2005 for the reasoning of the suspension, which reads that the UKGC can suspend licenses if it: "has reason to suspect that activities may have been carried on in purported reliance on the licence but not in accordance with a condition of the licence".
A secondary provision was also cited, which claims that the UKGC can put in a review if the licensee may not be suitable to carry on licensed activities.
Under the terms of the suspension, Stakers may not offer their online betting services to customers in Britain until the review is completed. Players are advised to pull funds out of the site if they have a positive balance.
For their part, Stakers hasn't issued a comment. Casino Listings News is following this story and will update readers as it develops.

Ha. After seeing the amateur effort from these idiots pretending to be players in an attempt to spam our forum with nonsense about how wonderful their casino is, all I can say is that this is the least surprising news I have seen this week.

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing at a new casino.
Post in our forums to earn CLchips which can be used to buy real prizes in our CLchips shop.
Haha, that happened quite quickly. Wouldn't be surprised if someone had tipped them off and they took a closer look. I am pretty convinced they won't be getting their license back and there's probably a big penalty awaiting them as well.
