Switzerland Updates Gambling Blacklist

Switzerland's gaming regulator Eidgenössische Spielbankenkommission, in conjunction with the Inter-Cantonal Lotteries and Betting Commission, have updated their online gambling blacklist, which blocks access to their websites within the country.

There are 27 new betting sites added to the blacklist, which went live on March 17th. This new edition includes the likes of Best Golden Euro, Casino Astral, Spinup Casino, and two dozen others. There are also new blacklisted operators within the country, which won't be able to obtain a gaming license for the time being, as they've been operating illegally in the Swiss market. The biggest name to be added to the blacklist is Bet365.dk.

Right now all land casinos in Switzerland are closed, pushing all betting online, where players can play from their homes and away from others.

The block requests were sent to ISPs and access to the sites was restricted effective March 17th.
