A day after they said demand remained high for their products, Evolution Gaming announced that they've been ordered to close their studio in Tbilisi, Georgia for the time being due to the impact of Covid-19 around the world.
The company announced the closure in an email, which read in part: "Evolution Gaming has been instructed by Georgian authorities to temporarily close the floor operations at its Tbilisi site. As a consequence, the workforce will be significantly reduced. A large part of the operations will be able to continue through the company's other studios in Europe."
The group did say that they've taken measures to protect staff in all of their studios, sanitizing and maintaining social distancing. Evolution is maintaining operations in seven other locations, and those spots are largely still operational as of press time.

Oh, it is surprising.
These days, it can actually be good for Evolution and probably for all online casino industry.
But, when it gets really worse, this kind of lockdown is also inevitable.
I mean, at the end of the day, I know how it is to work in a live casino environment- there's not much fresh air, dark rooms with bright lights so in case there would be even the smallest suspense that someone could be infected, that's really not the environment you want to be in- besides cards aren't really sanitized (as far as I know) so not the best place to avoid germs.
