Canadian gaming monopoly Loto Quebec has posted their full-year 2019 financial results, noting that revenues dropped 11.1% for the period.

Key financial indicators for the year ending December 31st, 2019 were:

  • Revenues of $685.6 million, down 11.1% from the year prior
  • $247.8 million from casinos, down 5% from 2018
  • Lottery revenues of $219.2 million down 19.5%
  • Gaming establishment revenues of $225.6 million, down 8.2% from 2018

Speaking about the performance Loto Quebec's president Lynne Roiter noted that revenues were down due to a high number of draws from the MaxMillions lottery, with large jackpots not being available to draw in increased interest from Quebec residents. Roiter said that these results will likely be a one-time thing, with this year possibly seeing a return to form.
