DraftKings Iowa Sportsbook Goes Live

This story was published more than 3 years ago.

American betting group DraftKings has announced that they've launched their mobile sportsbetting product in Iowa, partnering with the Wild Rose Casino and Resort to offer the service.

Those who want to place wagers using the service will first have to register in person at one of the three Wild Rose Casinos within the Hawkeye State. This will be for the first year of the service, after which time punters will be able to register online. After registration, players will have the opportunity to use their mobile devices to put in wagers, with the likes of American football, basketball, baseball, hockey, auto racing, and other sports available.

The two companies have been working together for the past several months to operate retail books, but this is the first time that sportsbetting has gone mobile within Iowa. DraftKings is enjoying a resurgence of business after sportsbetting was opened up at the Supreme Court level, operating books in the likes of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Iowa, and New York.
