Betway Gets Portuguese License

This story was published more than 4 years ago.

Online betting firm Betway has announced that they've been granted a Portuguese gaming license by the Comissão de Jogos do Turismo de Portugal, which serves as the country's gaming regulator.

The company will now be permitted to offer online casino games as well as sportsbetting within Portugal, making this the latest country that Betway is permitted to operate in. The group already holds licenses in Malta, the UK, Spain, Italy, Denmark, and Sweden. Portugal has been working to regulate online betting, having licensed PokerStars, 888, and Betclic the market.

No comment on the launch was available, but we do know that the activities will be available at the Betway.pt domain.
