Yggdrasil Unveils Publishing Branch

This story was published more than 4 years ago.

Swedish game developer Yggdrasil has announced the launch of a new publishing arm, which will allow clients to build their own B2B businesses.

The new branch will see Yggdrasil franchising their sections of the business to their customers, including their game content, platform, and backend Game Adaption Tools and Interface product. This will allow customers to design their own sites from scratch, leaving them with a full solution that won't require them to deal with any other gaming companies. The project will be headed up by Björn Krantz, who's got previous experience working with gaming giant NetEnt.

Speaking about the launch Björn Krantz noted: "We are really excited to showcase our new Publishing business which will give operators, studios and suppliers all the tools, tech and knowledge to take control of their content production and distribution and create unique player experiences.

"This is a ground-breaking global licensing business that significantly changes our and the industry's approach to content creation, publishing and distribution," Krantz explained. "In a very short space of time we have become well-known for our highly innovative online gaming content, platform and software solutions but we are now taking this to another level altogether."

We don't have a timetable as to when the product will launch, but we'll be updating readers as we learn more.
