Casino software group Yggdrasil Gaming has announced that they're working with CasinoBeats and CasinoGrounds to host Slot Battle 2020 at ICE London next week.
The event will see a streamer and an operator working to play the new Yggdrasil slot 'Temple Stacks', wherein they try to rack up the largest single coin win during a certain time period. The casinos involved Rizk, Dunder, and Casino Calzone, while streamers involved are Nickslots, Slotspinner, and LetsGiveItASpin. The prize for players will be a €9,000 cash drop, while the winning operator will get a sponsored ad campaign worth €10,000.
"At Yggdrasil we are always at the forefront of innovation and finding new ways for our content to reach new audiences is at the top of our agenda," said Yggdrasil CEO Fredrik Elmqvist.
"We are increasingly using streamers and work closely with the streaming community as they significantly help raise awareness of our games as well as drive traffic to our operator partners' sites. We are excited to showcase this collaboration by hosting this fun competition together with CasinoBeats and couldn't think of a better place to do so than at ICE, the biggest industry event of the year."
ICE is an industry show where online betting groups showcase new games and technologies that are debuting during the year. The event is being held the 4th and 5th at the ExCeL Center.

This will be interesting, it seems like Yggdrasil took a step back in 2019. I didnt hear a whole lot about them all year. Now right out of the gate for 2020 they're looking to get noticed again.

Promises to be exciting, can't wait for it 😍
I think Yggdrasil is primed for expansion. They've been starting to develop table games, and I wouldn't be surprised if they took a leap into something like live dealer games in the near future. Can't wait to see what they have up their sleeve.

This seems like an interesting concept and I don't recall seeing something like this before, so I'm quite curious to see how it'll go.
