This week poker giant The Stars Group has announced that they've signed an agreement with the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, setting the group up to offer online betting services within the state of Michigan.
The agreement will allow the Stars brands to be offered in the Wolverine State with their brands, using the gaming license held by the Odawa Casino brands. The group will be able to offer online poker, casino games, and sportsbetting services after they gain a gaming license and have their software sanctioned by the state. The initial brands to operate in the state will include PokerStars and FOX Bet.
Commenting on the deal LTBB Odawa Tribal Council member Fred Harrington Jr. said, "The Tribe's partnership with The Stars Group extends beyond our reservation and places the thrill of world class sports betting and online gaming under every finger-tip sliding across a touch screen in the State of Michigan."
FOX Bet CEO Robin Chhabra added: "We are excited to announce this agreement with the Odawa tribe, which further strengthens our market access as we work to continue to build our FOX Bet business into one of the leaders in the emerging U.S. online betting and gaming market."
