Spillemyndigheden Releases Responsible Gaming Guide

This story was published more than 4 years ago.

This week Danish regulator Spillemyndigheden has released a new responsible gaming guide targeted at businesses offering betting services within the country.

The guide will serve as supplementary material for those with gaming licenses and their employees. The guide will help to spell out the rules in the country, while providing processes that workers can use to make sure their organizations are compliant. The guide went live on January 1st and will be updated regularly. It is available for free on the Spillemyndigheden website, and anyone can obtain access to it.

Some of the information that a betting group must have on their website or property includes:

  • Stating that those under the age of 18 may not participate in betting
  • Inform customers of the potential negative effects of gambling
  • Provide contact information for problem gambling assistance centers
  • Have licensing information available.

The guide can be found at the link below.

It definitely make sense the existence of such a guide which would probably make the employees who's job is exactly that to be aware and quick reacting to any possible issues the gambling addicts could have..would probably increase the level of efficiency when it matters.
