Mississippi Sportsbetting Revenue Dips

Sportbetting revenues in Mississippi dipped in December, this despite higher betting handle for the period.

Casinos in the state counted $3.5 million in sportsbetting revenues for the month, down 43.7% from the same time last year. It also stands as the lowest total for the year since August. Handle was up 17.5% to $49.1 million. Coastal casinos were the most popular for wagers, with handle up 11.7% to $30.5 million, but revenue was just $1.6 million, down 56.7% from last year.

Central Mississippi Casinos had handle of $6.1 million, but had revenue of $1.2 million, up 27.2% from last year. Northern Mississippi casinos had $12.5 million in handle, but revenues of just $696,638.

And it seems to be a significant dip from the same period last year, the numbers differs quite a bit for the different casinos as we could see from the article so not everybody have done so poorly obviously.
