Online sportsbetting group Parimatch has announced that they've extended their sponsorship deal with eSports team Virtus.pro, supporting the team for an extra two years.
The announcement comes ahead of the 2020 CS:GO and Dota 2 tournaments, both of which are major events that Virtus takes part in. The team will feature Parimatch's logo on their site, and they'll also work together to promote eSports events and betting. Parimatch has been working to promote eSports betting, which is growing in tandem with eSports events themselves. Earlier in 2019, Parimatch worked to establish the Parimatch League, which offers five-figure prizes to those who win the tournament.
Commenting on the agreement Parimatch Head of eSports Stepan Shulga said, "Virtus.pro was our first big esports sponsorship deal, and we are excited to be continuing this partnership for a further two years. Virtus.pro are one of the most recognizable teams in the esports world, and became even more formidable in 2019 by signing its strongest CS:GO roster to date. The Dota 2 team is also showing signs of great success. At Parimatch, we want to support teams and individuals who are fired up to win, and are committed to entertaining their fans. Virtus.pro, go for the victory!"
ESforce Holding (the owner of Virtus.pro) Commercial Director Sergey Barkhudaryan added: "We are delighted to be partnering with Parimatch again, and it is great to see our relationship strengthen and develop in different areas of the esports arena. Sponsorship from a brand as famous as Parimatch will help Virtus.pro strengthen its position in esports whilst also delighting their fans. We are confident that our partnership will be a great success."
