IGT Enters Oregon Sportsbetting Market

This story was published more than 4 years ago.

Gaming firm IGT has announced that they've launched their PlaySports sportsbetting platform in Oregon, becoming the 11th state where the service is being provided.

The new platform has been integrated into The Mill Casino in North Bend, which is overseen by the Coquille Indian Tribe. The kiosks will now let visitors place sports wagers on them, including NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL events.

The Mill Casino is now the second location in Oregon to offer retail sportsbetting, as the Chinook Winds was the first. The Oregon Lottery is sanctioned to offer mobile sports wagers.

Commenting on the launch The Mill Casino CEO Terri Porcaro noted: "We are extremely pleased to be the only casino in Southern Oregon to provide our guests access to the excitement of sports betting through IGT's PlaySports technology. This new option perfectly complements our slots and table games offering and gives our customers even more reasons to visit our waterfront destination."

Didn't knew there's already 11 states in US where sportsbetting is available...that number will just increase in the next couple of years...I'm sure about that.
