Nordic gaming software group Finnplay has announced that they've been granted a Type 2 betting license from the Malta Gaming Authority, allowing the developer to provide games to casinos that are licensed in the country.

The license is a supplier-level type, and the company will be able to supply games to casino operators that are licensed in Malta, which includes some major brands. Finnplay is based out of Finland, and they provide platform solutions to their customers. The company also holds a license through the United Kingdom.

Speaking about the licensing Finnplay CEO Martin Prantner said, "Betting is the highest growth area of the iGaming market, so achieving the MGA Type 2 licence is a great accomplishment that will enable Finnplay to offer market-leading betting games and integrations to all our brand and platform partners."
