Sweden's gaming regulator Spelinspektionen has finally prevailed at the Administrative Court over an online betting case, as the court backed the regulator's issuing a limited license to Cherry AB's brands.
Spelinspektionen had only granted the temporary license to Cherry, which were to only be good for two years before re-certification would be needed. Brands handed the limited license included Casinostugan, ComeOn Sweden, XC Gaming Sweden, Cherry Casino Sweden, Hajper Ltt, Snabbare Ltd and MOA Gaming Sweden.
The court ruled that Spelinspektionen was right to limit the length of the licenses, given the concerns that the regulator had in place.
This is the first victory for the regulator in court against casino operators this week. It previously had a SEK 8 million fine against Casino Cosmopol for various infractions, only to see the fine lowered to SEK 3 million. They also lost out on limited LeoVegas' online licenses, with the court ruling that the operator is entitled to a five-year certification.

Wow, quite a news that, they will celebrate in the Swedish regulator or what..after finally being able to win any case in court1?!
But I know who won't celebrate...the Swedish taxpayers...obviously they've been paying for quite a few court cases lately...needed or not...
