The London Legacy Development Corporation announced this week that they will not allow gambling, tobacco, and alcohol companies to sponsor London Stadium, claiming the industries to be "inappropriate" for the venue's image.
The stadium opened its doors in 2012 for the London Olympics and has served as the home of West Ham United since 2016, and online gaming operator Betway currently has a shirt sponsorship with the club. Betway was looking to sponsor the stadium in the wake of the shirt deal, but that appears to not be a possibility now.
London Stadium has been sponsorless since 2017 when Vodafone pulled out of a six-year naming deal. The venue is looking for an investment though, as it lost £25.5 million last year, with next year's projected loss to be £29.1 million.

Well, it's their venue and...their decision but if the numbers are like that...
...you have to be a bit less concerned what would be "inappropriate" for the venue's image...and a bit more concerned that in fact you're going toward bankrupt...but that's just my understanding I guess.
