Malta's Regulator Suspends Star World Limited's License

This story was published more than 4 years ago.

Malta's gaming regulator, the Malta Gaming Authority has announced that they've suspended the gaming license of Star World Limited for breaching Compliance and Enforcement Regulations.

The suspension takes effect immediately and will keep Star World from being able to accept deposits, new players, or conduct any gaming operations through the jurisdiction. Players are urged to reach out to the company in order to try to get any funds that are owed to them.

The MGA claims that Star World failed to make payments to them when they were due, and other violations are related to not paying players and failing to provide integrity and regulatory data as required.

Star World had previously had their license suspended in 2017, and it appears that their issues are still ongoing. The company does have the ability to appeal the decision, but it appears that they'll have an uphill battle if they're to salvage their license in the island nation.
