Today a punter playing Yggdrasil's Joker Millions video slot hit the game's progressive jackpot for a huge €3,040,869 cash prize, the first hit for the game in the last 22 weeks.
The win is the 12th for the game since it launched four years ago, and is just above the €2,941,127 average that is paid out roughly every 17 weeks. The win does trail behind the all-time record for the game, which came in at €7,831,370 and was hauled in at LeoVegas last year.
The Joker Millions Jackpot is Yggdrasil's calling card of sorts, having been heavily promoted by the software developer. The prize grows with every spin of the reels and pays out when players are able to fill every reel symbol with the iconic Joker icon.
We'll update readers as we learn more about this big win.
UPDATE: We've learned that the win was hauled in at Casumo and was won with a €0.50 spin. The player has opted to remain anonymous, and we haven't heard any big plans for the win.
