Spain Looking at Banning Gambling Advertising

This story was published more than 4 years ago.

The Spanish government revealed that they're looking into possibly banning gambling advertisement within the country in an effort to try and curb any harm caused by the activity.

The decision will come after the Spain Civic Ombudsman makes recommendations regarding gambling advertising restrictions. Reportedly the Ombudsman has already made up his mind, and it's expected that there will be restrictions implemented in some way, if not an outright ban on gambling ads. Lawmakers will take the Ombudsman's recommendations and form draft bills, which will then go through the legislative process before becoming a law.

We're following this story and will update readers once we learn more.

Yeah, not exactly a surprise such news to be honest, I think this are the tendencies not only in Europe's leading countries economically but all across the world really so probably in Spain they'll restrict the gambling ads more or less as well.
