Betfred Signs Shirt Sponsorship Deal With RCD Mallorca

Online and retail betting group Betfred has announced that they've signed a sponsorship deal with RCD Mallorca of the Spanish LaLiga, and will have their logo on the club's shirt as a result.

The agreement is good for the upcoming season as well as the 2020-2021 season, and will also grant Betfred extra signage at the club's San Moix stadium as well as on the team's website. Other exclusive marketing opportunities will also be available to the betting firm. Betfred signed the deal thanks to the help from Sportradar, who helped work the deal between the two groups.

For Betfred, the deal is a key marketing tool, as the company recently obtained a Spanish license and is looking to ramp up operations in the country.

Commenting on the deal RCD Mallorca CEO Maheta Molango said, "We are thrilled to have Betfred utilise RCD Mallorca as a vehicle to achieve its strategy of international expansion. In addition to this, we recognise our goals and this is also a strategic partnership for RCD Mallorca within an important context of the British, Spanish and international markets."

Sportradar's Hampus Lofkvist added: "We congratulate Betfred on their official partnership with RCD Mallorca, adding to their long history of sports sponsorship."

The newly obtained Spanish license fully explained why Betfred have been so keen to sign such a sponsorship contract with one of La Liga sides, even though maybe a not top half team, should be a good deal for the operator.
