Betting firm Betfair has been named an Official Partner of the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL), which will give the brand exposure in an emerging market.

The company was named a partner alongside companies like Mastercard, Bridgestone, and Qatar Airways, and will gain signage and ad placement during CONMEBOL matches through 2022. South America is growing as an online betting market, with countries like Colombia having regulated and begun offering the activity to their residents.

Speaking about the agreement CONMEBOL Commercial Director Juan Emilio Roa said, "We are pleased to present Betfair as a partner of the CONMEBOL Libertadores and CONMEBOL Sudamericana. With this important partnership, we add another global brand to the international status of South American football."

Betfair's Stephen Mault added: "We are delighted to be the official betting partner of the CONMEBOL Libertadores and CONMEBOL Sudamericana."

It's a wise deal that of Betfair side I think cause as Dustin mentioned in the article South America is a growing betting market and you could expect nothing but a growth there in the next years so signing deal of this kind will nothing but benefit Betfair in future I believe.
