William Hill sent notices to Swiss customers last week where they said that they were leaving the market and voiding bets that had already been placed.
The UK company said that they were pulling out and no longer accepting Swiss bets as of mid-day on June 28th. The operator cited "regulatory reasons" as the decision to leave, but didn't elaborate. It is speculated that the group voided about 400 bets because of the decision.
Switzerland launched their regulated online betting market on July 1st, and it's possible that William Hill is trying to play nice for the chance to enter the market at a later date.
We don't have the exact email, but we'll update readers as we learn more.

Yeah, I've been wondering if that's the case...certainly doesn't look too logical Will Hill will leave such a lucrative market as the Swiss just like that otherwise.
Who would have thought? if there was bet available on whether Will Hill would stay or go in one of the most profitable region in which they operate, I do believe I would have lost my money on this bet 💻
