The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has announced that they've signed an agreement with Playtech and will use the group's BetBuddy subsidiary to provide player insight information.
The service is integrated into Playtech's IMS player management backend, giving information on the player's gameplay, and can also incentivize responsible gaming. The OLG runs the province-run PlayOLG.ca domain, which is the only government-sanctioned betting site in Ontario.
BetBuddy has been in operation since 2014 and was purchased in 2017 by Playtech. It has since been worked into the group's gaming platform as a way to provide operators with insights into their customers.
